This course will introduce you to the basic techniques used as part of refitting a bathroom.

The course is aimed at the DIY market and will help to prepare for a home project to update or refit a bathroom.

  • Cold water supply (pipework and systems)
  • Hot water supply (pipework and systems)
  • Tiling skills
    • Setting out
      • Sink splashbacks
      • Bath surrounds
      • Shower cubicles
      • Cutting for services
    • Mastic sealants and beading
  • Carpentry skills to include
  • Fitting a marine ply floor




No formal assessment but feedback will be given on practical skills.

This course covers the foundation skills and competences needed for the safe and effective implementation of home bathroom fitting projects. Please note that this course does not include any provision for fitting or commissioning electrical services.
