This course will provide you with both knowledge and skills relating to basic plumbing, installation and maintenance.
The only entry criteria is a willingness to learn and get involved in the activities.

This course is not part of a professional development programme, but could be used as a taster if you’re considering moving into this profession.

This introduction to plumbing includes:
- Health and safety
- Materials (plastic, copper, steel)
- Pipe jointing and bending
- Sanitation (kitchen and bathroom installation to include washing machines, dishwashers, baths and showers)
- Cold water supply (pipework and systems)
- Hot water supply (pipework and systems)
Theory and practical.
Homework / Private Study Required
Steel-capped footwear and coveralls.
All tools and material needed on the course.
Health and Safety Guidance / Advice
Personal protective equipment will be provided except for safety boots and coveralls.
This course provides an opportunity to learn the basic knowledge and skills needed for domestic plumbing. It will allow you to tackle most home plumbing projects with both confidence and competence.
