Course Content

This introduction to plumbing includes:

  • Health and safety
  • Materials (plastic, copper, steel)
  • Pipe jointing and bending
  • Sanitation (kitchen and bathroom installation to include washing machines, dishwashers, baths and showers)
  • Cold water supply (pipework and systems)
  • Hot water supply (pipework and systems)


Theory and practical.

Homework / Private Study Required


Pre-Course Preparation


Equipment Needed

Steel-capped footwear and coveralls.

Equipment Provided

All tools and material needed on the course.

Health and Safety Guidance / Advice

Personal protective equipment will be provided except for safety boots and coveralls.

This course provides an opportunity to learn the basic knowledge and skills needed for domestic plumbing. It will allow you to tackle most home plumbing projects with both confidence and competence.
