This Change Management Foundation qualification explores how change affects, and is affected by, individuals, teams and organisations, helping those responsible for change initiatives to learn:
- The roles needed to assemble teams most likely to achieve successful organisational change
- How people react to organisational change and how to help them adapt
- How to keep stakeholders engaged while an organisation undergoes change
- How the process of organisational change or transformation occurs
- Developing strategies to keep people motivated while an organisation undergoes change.
- The different types of change process e.g. planned and emergent change.

Who is this qualification for?
The APMG Change Management Foundation qualification is for:
- Anyone interested in understanding the basic principles of achieving successful organisational change, transition or transformation.
- Team members involved in organisational change, transition or transformation projects.
- Professionals pursuing the Change Management Practitioner certificate – for which the Change Management Foundation certificate is a pre-requisite.
Accreditation / qualification(s) offered
Successful completion of this course will mean you will be awarded the Change Management Foundation certification (does not expire).
APMG online exam
Foundation Exam – 40-minute multiple choice closed-book online exam. There is a total of 50 questions to answer broken down into four sections. 25 marks required to pass (out of 50 available) – 50%.

This foundation course is based on the Effective Change Manager's Handbook and aligned to the Institute's Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK), this course explores how change affects, and is affected by; teams, individuals, organisations and change leaders, equipping you with the knowledge, theories and techniques to successfully implement change in your organisation.
There are no entry requirements for this course.
