This half-day course covers the knowledge and practice needed to be able to:

Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally

Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally

Safely use an automated external defibrillator

Safely use an automated external defibrillator

There are no prerequisites to join this course.

Learners will develop the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations. They will be able to use an AED confidently and safely on both adults and children, and combine AED use with CPR. Following assessments throughout the half-day, successful candidates will achieve a personalised QA Level 2 Award.
