This Qualsafe (QA) Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed to provide first aid in a range of emergency situations. It is also ideal for people who have a responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.

- Understanding first aid legislation
- Carrying out an initial assessment of a casualty
- Carrying out CPR and rescue breaths
- Recognising and dealing with a choking casualty
- Recognise and deal with a person in shock
- Manage bleeding, burns and scalds
- Dealing with an unconscious person
- Recognising the need to prevent cross infection
- Recognising the need to keep themselves safe

Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to provide timely and appropriate emergency first aid treatment in a safe, efficient and effective way. Successful candidates will achieve a Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work that will last for 3 years.
