This course will give supervisors, managers and heads of department the renewed knowledge and confidence to manage their team's health and safety. It ensures that you can assess and control risks and hazards in the workplace effectively and competently and provides critical training for embedding health and safety principles and practices throughout an organisation.

This 2 day course will refresh learners knowledge and skills based on their initial 3 day First Aid at Work course including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries. A comprehensive range of first aid topics is covered, including first aid for:

CPR and life support
Choking
Suspected injuries to bones, muscles and joints
Suspected head and spinal injuries
Suspected chest injuries
Bleeding, burns and scalds
Eye injuries
Sudden poisoning
Anaphylaxis

This First Aid at Work Refresher course must be taken within a 3 year period of their initial First Aid at Work course.

Learners will refresh their knowledge needed to continue being a qualified first aider in the workplace and be able to deal confidently with any first aid situation. Successful candidates will achieve a 3 year Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work that will last for a further 3 years.
